Low-Income Housing Rebate

The Clare Municipal Council will grant a $300 exemption on property taxes to persons whose total household income(s) for 2025 was less than thirty thousand dollars ($30,000).

We require a copy of your income tax notice of assessment from the previous year. Applications will not be considered without copies of all household income tax notices of assessment).

If you qualify for the seniors rebate, you cannot apply for the low-income housing rebate.

Property owners may be eligible to receive a property tax rebate from the Government of Nova Scotia.
